Biography:
Rosário Macário is a Business Science Economist with Master and Phd in Transportation. She is currently Assistant Professor of Transportation at the Instituto Superior Técnico (Main School of Engineering) at the Lisbon Technical University, where she teaches Structure Financing for Transportation Projects, Transport Economics and Project Evaluations, Transport Policy, Urban Mobility among other topics. She has a large experience in coordination of international research and also in conducting national studies for government and private parties. She publishes regularly and most recently she has been a guest editor for a special issue on “Economics of contractual relationships in the provision of transport infrastructure" in the journal of Research in Transport Economics from Elsevier. She has particular interest on addressing the effects of policy and institutional design on the performance of PPP´s as well as in transferability of experiences between transport modes and also between different sectors of the economy.

Lee Schipper Memorial Scholarships for Sustainable Transport and Energy Efficiency targets supporting the momentum of Lee Schipper’s contribution to the international policy dialogue in these fields.

This yearly award is aimed at supporting young individual researchers and students in is pursuance.
