Dan Andersson is associate professor in Logistics and Transport in the Department of Technology Management and Economics at Chalmers University of Technology. He is also director of the Competence Centre Northern LEAD. His research has been focused on third party logistics from a shipper perspective but does also include a provider perspective, including driving forces and barriers, effects, risk management, organization, coordination, purchasing and selling logistics services. During the last decade the scope of research has also encompassed outsourcing, purchasing of services, international distribution, global procurement, global logistics, and risk management. Dr. Andersson has co-supervised seven students, three to licentiate degree, and four to PhD degree. He also has experience from teaching at bachelors level for five years (1990-1995), at Masters level 18 years (in total 15 different course, in logistics and marketing, and more than 60 master theses), and at doctoral level involvement in five different courses since 2001.
