URBE - URban freight and BEhaviour change - October 01-02, 2015 (Rome, Italy)

Supported by the VREF, the URBE conference, held in English, is organized by the University of Rome. The Centre of Excellence Sustainable Urban Freight Systems (SUFS) is one of the co-organisers.

This important gathering will bring together a select group of participants conducting research on freight behaviour intending to find the most effective mechanisms to induce beneficial changes in current practices. These behaviour changes are central to bringing about urban freight systems that increase economic efficiency and productivity; and that foster liveability, quality of life, and environmental justice and sustainability.

The participants will get the opportunity to interact with each other, and learn first-hand how researchers from other countries approach urban freight systems behaviour research; they will also have access to a solid understanding of the interplay between the various agents involved in urban freight systems.

URBE conference is a great opportunity to foster transformation of urban freight systems throughout the world as it would enhance the technical and policy skills of the researchers that are bound to play a key role in fostering sustainable urban freight systems in their respective countries.
