The Urban Freight Platform (UFP) represented at the organising committee chaired by Business Region Göteborg, invites you to attend the seminar that will take place during the Volvo Ocean Race Week, June 23-24, 2015 at the Lindholmen Science Park, Gothenburg, Sweden.

Prof. Michael Browne from the University of Westminster (London, UK) and Visiting Professor at the University of Gothenburg will give a presentation during Day 2 of the seminar:

Why bother with Urban Freight – The Importance of Urban Freight Research to the Future of Cities

The presentation will discuss the importance of urban freight from an economic, social and environmental perspective. It will highlight some of the major challenges currently facing the movement of freight in cities. Research in the Urban Freight Platform in Gothenburg is leading the way in responding to these challenges and the presentation will identify how research initiatives can play a vital role in better creating more sustainable urban freight systems.
