Conference on Urban Freight, October 17-19, 2016, Gothenburg: Plan for the future - sharing urban space

The Urban Freight Platform (UFP) is an initiative on urban freight research based in Sweden and supported by the VREF. The UFP works as a facilitator of academic research on urban freight within the context of the logistics competence center Northern LEAD at University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology.

The second international conference organised by the Urban Freight Platform will follow up on the success of the conference in March 2015, aiming at bringing academia, industry and public authorities together in order to discuss the complexity of freight transport in urban areas, sharing the space on the streets, change behaviour and achieve change. We will discuss innovative solutions that consider the perspectives from transport operators, architects and planners, and other stakeholders about urban development.

The programme will include invited speakers, break-out-session discussions, academic poster presentations and study visits.
