Summary:
This paper analyzed the outstanding problems that urban transport development poses upon the resources and the environment. Coupled with the nation's low carbon development strategy, the paper analyzed and defined what low-carbon urban transport system is. Based on the analysis of the internal and external environment surrounding China's urban transport in the new era, the paper also explored the development path for and access to China's low-carbon urban transport system, after making a survey on the international experience in low-carbon urban transport.
