Professor Magnus Skoglundh receives Volvo scholarship.
On March 3, 2010 the Håkan Frisinger Foundation for Transportation Research awarded its scholarship for 2009 to Magnus Skoglundh of Chalmers University of Technology for his outstanding research in the field of emission catalysis.

Magnus Skoglundh is professor of catalysis and a key figure in Chalmers's highly successful emission catalysis research. He is head of the Chalmers Competence Centre for Catalysis (KCK), one of Europe´s leading exhaust treatment research centres. KCK focuses on basic research aimed at building knowledge and understanding of key phenomena, which has contributed strongly to putting Swedish passenger cars and heavy vehicles at the forefront of emission control. Skoglundh has also played a key role in supplying Swedish industry with highly qualified engineers and researchers in the field of catalysis, and has supervised the work of more than 30 doctoral students and the thesis of some 40 graduates of Master of Science in Engineering, many of whom are now actively employed in the automotive industry.
