Biography:
Dr. Ahmad Kanyama took a PhD in Built Environment Analysis at the Royal Institute of technology in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1995. Before embarking on research studies he worked as urban planner in the new capital of Tanzania — Dodoma for 7 years. His work since 1995 as a consultant and a researcher has been focused on urban planning and sustainable urban transportation. He is currently conducting research at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and has received research grants from international funding agencies including VREF. He has experience in evaluating internationally funded research projects. He was involved in VREF Centre of Excellence‐ special follow up in Nairobi.
