Biography:
PhD candidate at the Centre for Transport Studies at UCT, he has an honours degree in Civil Engineering (UK) and a Master degree in Transport Studies from UCT. He has over 20 years of experience in various consultancies in the UK on roads, infrastructure and transport systems. Furthermore, he has helped set up and run three consultancy practices in South Africa. His current interests relate to road safety in African cities, especially for non-motorised transport and micro-simulation modelling as well as the use on new technologies to simulate and assess transport safety
