S-J. Jeong owns a Ph.D. in Transport specialized in Logistics System, ENPC (Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées), France, 2002 and a Master of Urban Planning, Seoul National University, Korea, 1989.
He has held the head of Center for Logistics Policy and Certification, head of Center for Freight Transport Market Research, director of the Dept. of Logistics Research, and director of the Dept. of Planning and Administration at the KOTI since 1989. Since 2012, transport and logistics expert at National Transport Policy Coordination Practices Committee of Korea MLTM (Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs). Currently, executive director of Korea Logistics Society and the member of Korean Society of Transportation. Authored numerous reports and delivered seminar presentations, mostly focused on implementation and assessment of Korea Transport and Logistics Policy.
