The 2021 Lee Schipper Scholarship: submission of applications' deadline now extended to March 19, 2021.

Since 2018, the VREF has supported the Lee Schipper Memorial Scholarship for Sustainable Transport and Energy Efficiency. From 2020, up to three researchers can be now awarded: including a scholarship related to the VREF's Mobility and Access programme, in order to support researchers from Africa.

Round 1 selection

Up to 7 EoI's will be selected to submit full proposals. The deadline for submission is now extended to March 19, 2021.

Selected candidates will be notified by April 1, 2021.Full proposals will be submitted no later than April 21, 2021.

Round 2 selection

Up to three winning research proposals will be chosen and funded with grants up to USD $10,000. Awardees will be notified by May 13, 2021.

Research will be carried out during 2021, and must be completed by March 31, 2022.
Winners will present their research and results at Transforming Transportation in January 2022.
