Save the date! The next Mobilize Week will take place in June 2020, in Pune, India.

In 2020, the Mobilize Week will be held between June 10 and 12, 2020. Prior to the Mobilize days, VREF will hold 2 workshops as usual: June 8 for the PhDs and younger researchers, and June 9 for the VREF research network. SAVE THE DATE! More information will be given later on.

Pune won the STA because of its accelerating commitment to all sustainable transit modes, particularly with significant growth in pedestrian infrastructure. Pune has become a regional leader in complete streets, in which streets are designed for all users, rather than only for cars; pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and transit riders are given safe access with the complete streets approach. It plans to increase its complete streets by 20 kilometers in the upcoming year. Additionally, Pune has retrofitted 15 kilometers of footpaths along streets to give pedestrians safe passage and plans to expand these another 35 kilometers.

 STUDY VISIT GRANT 2020

The VREF invites PhD students and researchers in early stages of their career to apply for a Study Visit Grant to be supported with up to SEK 30 000.

Each year the Håkan Frisinger Foundation for Transportation Research awards a scholarship to a prominent researcher.
