Sowjanya Dhulipala is a PhD student from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India. She completed her 1st year of PhD and is here in the University of Gothenburg on a study visit sponsored by the VREF for a period of one month.

She is working on modelling of freight demand in India. Her research broadly aims at developing a national freight demand model for India and concentrates more on generation and mode choice models. Her research will be a contribution to the national model development where she will be addressing some research problems in the process of modelling.
