The Urban Freight Platform in Gothenburg invites you to attend the 3rd VREF Conference on Urban Freight. The conference will present current issues influencing urban freight research and discuss the complexity of designing urban space and managing flows for liveable cities.

The Urban Freight Platform in Gothenburg (UFP) is a joint initiative between University of Gothenburg and Chalmers with support from the Volvo Research and Education Foundations - VREF

Speakers and participants from 25 countries have already registered!

Planning for the 2018 VREF Conference on Urban Freight is going well and we will be finalising the programme in the next two weeks but a short update with a list of confirmed speakers and draft program is available herePDF (pdf, 1.1 MB).

The Urban Freight Platform (UFP) is an initiative supported by the Volvo Research and Educational Foundations (VREF) on urban freight research based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The UFP works as a facilitator of academic research on urban freight within the context of the logistics competence center Northern LEAD at University of Gothenburg and Chalmers University of Technology. Our vision is to continue to develop cutting-edge research combining skills from various disciplines, make the urban freight research cluster function more effectively and ensure that the relevance and importance of urban freight is made accessible to a wider public.

The VREF invites PhD students and researchers in early stages of their career to apply for a Study Visit Grant to be supported with up to SEK 30 000.

The VREF invites universities located in Sweden to nominate candidates for The Håkan Frisinger Award (Håkan Frisingers pris till framstående transportforskare) and apply for a VREF Visiting Researcher Grant for the nominated candidate.
