Save the date! VREF Research Forum 27 & 29 October 2020 will be held during the Mobilize Summit, Building Collective Action for the Next Decade

As announced earlier, the 2020 MOBILIZE will be going virtual during the week of October 26, 2020. For its part, VREF will convene its network to a Virtual Research Forum October 27 and October 29, 2020. Please, save the date!

This year, the VREF research community on Future Urban Transport is invited to come together through a Virtual Research Forum. The forum will be held during the Mobilize Summit 2020, which is also taking place online due to the Covid19-pandemic.

Going virtual allows us all to come together as a network for conversations, exchange and to jointly advance the Future Urban Transport agenda.

For now, please reserve the dates 27 & 29 October 2020 in your calendars.

The VREF invites Sub-Saharan based researchers with expertise on sustainable and equitable
mobility and access or related areas, and strong interest in carrying out interdisciplinary research. Open for application until 2020-09-29

Each year the Håkan Frisinger Foundation for Transportation Research awards a scholarship to a prominent researcher.


Lee Schipper Memorial Scholarships for Sustainable Transport and Energy Efficiency targets supporting the momentum of Lee Schipper’s contribution to the international policy dialogue in these fields.

This yearly award is aimed at supporting young individual researchers and students in is pursuance.
